Large Zangid tamgha within a circle of pellets; around the circle, 'al-Malik al-Mu'azzam Wali ahdudu al-Malik al Zahir' in Kufic. Rev. Legend in Kufic reading 'al-Imam al-Mustansir / billah al-Sultan al-a'-/zam Kaikhusrau; around, 'Duriba bi'l-Jazira / sana tis' / wa thalathin / wa sittami'a'. Spengler & Sayles 89. Attractive earthen highlights on a dark patina. Minor edge crack, otherwise, good very fine.
